Bathed in warmth and sunlight, the gorges de la Méouge are renowned for the quality of their warters and their grandiose scenery. Shaped by the same named stream, the Gorges de la Méouge are breathtaking. Protected site (Natura 2000 Zone), the gorges offer marvelous viewpoints accessible by the surrounding trails.
If you ever have the chance to come here in spring, and the water level is high enough,the descent of the Méouge by kayak is an unforgettable experience. Sadly, this is something of a rare occurence and if truth be told this valley is far more popular with hikers strolling along its banks or swimmers, particulary in summer.
