Lake Saint André lies at the foot of the huge north face of Mont Granier, formed by a catastrophic landslide in 1248.
The lake is open to bathers (no lifeguard) and to anglers during the fishing season.
Listed as a “grand site” by Savoie Council, the lake can be reached by following the “Route des Vins” wine trail past the tiny lakes and erratic boulders that dot the peculiar hummocky countryside around Les Abymes.
